Warehouse Receiver / Checker - 1st Shift

About the role

Keep communities fed by ensuring accurate receipt of merchandise. As a Receiver/Checker, you will verify incoming shipments for damage, correct quantities, and proper labeling, recording data into the system and maintaining inventory accuracy. Responsibilities include examining contents, comparing with records, reporting discrepancies, operating warehouse management systems, and supporting efficient flow from receiving to shipping. You will also monitor for pests, set up storage for optimal efficiency, and perform routine audits.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of shipments against records
• Record shipment data and maintain inventory
• Assist with inventory counts and resolve issues
• Label pallets and verify inbound freight
• Operate warehouse management technology
• Ensure safety and pest control standards
• Perform routine tasks as per SOP guidelines

Qualifications & Skills

• At least six months of warehouse experience, preferably with electric pallet jack operation
• Strong planning, teamwork, and communication skills are essential
• Ability to follow safety policies and work collaboratively to achieve goals
