Warehouse Receiver

Position Overview: The Receiver ensures accurate receipt of merchandise, verifying quantities, conditions, and documentation to maintain inventory integrity. Responsibilities Examine and compare incoming shipments with records, recording correct counts, pallet types, and discrepancies.Input shipment data into the system, tracking weight, damages, and shortages for reporting and record-keeping.Assist with inventory accuracy through cycle counts and address customer service issues related to shortages or damages.Label pallets, verify inbound freight against purchase orders, and document discrepancies.Operate warehouse management systems and technology such as RF guns and pallet jacks.Monitor for pests, maintain safety standards, and support efficient flow from receiving to shipping.Perform routine tasks as per SOPs, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Qualifications & Skills Relevant experience (1-2 years) in a warehouse or receiving role.Ability to operate material handling equipment, perform basic math and computer skills.Attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements.Completion of Receiving Certification preferred. Work Environment: Perishable warehouse with temperatures between 28°F and 60°F.
