Warehouse/Production Associate

Nature’s World is a Charlie's Produce company and an employee-owned business delivering premium dried fruit, nuts, trail mixes, candies, and other snacks since 1987. Operating out of Seattle, WA, we are seeking a Production Associate to join our production team.

Charlie's Produce is the largest privately owned produce wholesaler on the West Coast, focused on quality, community, and fostering a culture of loyalty, stability, innovation, and growth.

About the role

The Production Associate will work Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 2 PM, with holidays, weekends, and overtime expected as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with supervisor to discuss assigned duties, including location, area, or aisle to be worked.
• Maintain warehouse stock as requested by shipping and our warehouse inventory management program.
• Pick and receive product, ensuring quality checks and safe placement into inventory.
• Assist with the operation of production lines for snack food items, including dehydrated fruit, produce, nuts, and other snacks.
• Handle packaging tasks, including running the label machine, refilling labels, adjusting rails and head heights, and ensuring proper label placement and corrections on tubs.
• Train new employees on GMPs, sanitation duties, mixing, production tasks, and labeling.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Stop production if a safety hazard is identified.

Requirements

• Successful completion of the application process.

• Flexible and dependable to work scheduled days.
• Ability to follow directions and transition quickly between tasks.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and adjust weight scales.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a small team.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lb cases.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to safely work with and around nuts (note: nut dust may be present in the air).

Pay

$24 per hour, with a potential 90-day performance-based raise. Yearly reviews may result in increases based on performance and tenure.
