Warehouse Porter/Custodian - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

Job Description

• Provide and maintain a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintain good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pull product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and return product
• Tend to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collect plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Have the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• What's a great way to stay in shape? Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Frequent lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
