Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Pipe Yard Associate to fill an immediate need at our brand new semi-automatic fabrication shop. If you have warehouse or pipe yard experience in the pipe industry, this position is for you.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy motorized material handling equipment in a safe manner.
• Accurately pick products ordered.
• Coordinate the removal and replacement of worn components.
• Accurately cycle count, thoroughly inspect orders, and unload trucks with a forklift.
• Effectively put items away and receive them in the system.
• Coordinate the organization and reconfiguration of the yard.
• Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
• Assist in all operations of the shop and pipe yard on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

• A background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory, is preferred.
• Basic product knowledge of carbon steel pipe and pipe fittings is preferred.
• Forklift Operator experience required.
• Must work outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.
• Constantly requires carrying objects up to 50 lbs. by hand.
• Constantly requires carrying objects 50 lbs. or more using equipment.
• Highly organized and able to perform tasks with minimal direction.
• Strong mechanical proficiency.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay

Pay Range: $15.61 - $23.41 per hour. This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible. Starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
