About the role
Ferguson is seeking a Warehouse Pipe Yard Associate to join our dynamic team. This position operates in a fast-paced environment and requires a combination of manual labor and technological skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy motorized material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Accurately pull and prepare orders for shipment
- Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
- Effectively put items away and receive them in WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident free
- Use technology like RF devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders
- Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs
Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of previous warehouse / pipe yard experience is required
- General computer skills for basic data entry
- Forklift Operator experience is required
- Must have the ability to work outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to carry objects that are up to 50 lbs by hand and 50 lbs or more by using equipment
- High attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment
- Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic
