Warehouse Picker/Packer and Driver

Warehouse Picker/Packer and Driver position based in Fairfield, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor and light housekeeping duties
• Lift and move area rugs (up to 50+ lbs) daily
• Load and unload inventory by hand or with pallet jack from warehouse, loading docks, and delivery vehicles
• Pack, tag, and label inventory and shipments
• Assemble or break down pallets and bales for shipping
• Ship, receive, sort, and inspect inventory from incoming and outgoing shipments; report any shortages or damaged materials
• Complete inventory tasks
• Determine and prioritize work assignments and needs
• Read packing lists, shipping documents, and work orders
• Follow safety precautions, rules, and regulations to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Drive company van for delivery of merchandise (no CDL required)
• Communicate and work with other departments and upper management to relay information and resolve issues
• Work events such as trade shows: set ups and tear downs (includes some weekends)
• Travel to trade shows within the USA (required)
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no CDL required)
• Must pass driving record check, drug testing, and background check in accordance with local regulations
• Ability to drive a company vehicle and maintain a good driving record
• Ability to lift at least 40-70 lbs repeatedly
• Ability to follow verbal instructions with attention to detail
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse/showroom environment with good customer service
• Effective team member with good attendance
• Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math, and reading comprehension
• Customer service and professionalism required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer skills a plus
