Warehouse Packing Associate

About the role

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment, including addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material. Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material. Transport and deliver finished products to customers by applying knowledge of driving regulations and local roads, driving to and from designated locations; perform daily inspection of truck. This is a morning shift, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Pack, seal, and label prepared materials for shipping using PB crimp tools and stretch wrap banders
• Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move, or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
• Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments; reject damaged items and record shortages
• Operate company-owned trucks for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
• Follow all safety procedures; load product into truck and unload at customer site if required
• Maintain adequate supply of shipping materials
• Support the shipment of goods produced and the receipt of goods and supplies used in or to aid production/storage
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Clean, valid driver’s license
• DOT physical required
• Must have reliable transportation
• Reads and writes English
• Mental ability to follow instructions, read maps, and read road signs
• Sound knowledge of safe vehicle operation
• Sound judgment in determining safest route for delivery
• Able to follow directions precisely

Pay

$20.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience
