Warehouse Overhead Crane Operator

About the role

This hourly, non-exempt position is safety-sensitive and involves operating overhead cranes to pull slab orders accurately and safely. The role includes additional warehouse duties and requires adherence to physical demands and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Pull slabs from the warehouse based on provided slab orders.
• Move slabs to loading areas using overhead cranes.
• Load slabs onto customer vehicles/trucks, ensuring products are well secured and safety measures are followed.
• Unload slabs from containers using forklifts.
• Arrange slabs properly in the slab warehouse using forklifts or cranes.
• Maintain a clean and safe slab warehouse for staff and customers.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift, overhead crane, and warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to use smartphones/tablets.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

This position pays between $19.75 and $23 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires typically earn between $56,600 and $65,300 annually, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, with 2 Saturdays per month from 08:30 AM to 01:00 PM.
