Responsibilities
- Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times; follows safe work procedures and safety rules.
- Operates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line and transport inventory to the warehouse.
- Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment.
- Transports inventory in the warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.
- Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with management, leads, and coworkers accordingly.
- Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging quality.
- Ensures dunnage (e.g., pallets, slip sheets, top frames) are available in the outgoing area.
- Transfers HFI’d pallets to proper storage locations.
- Monitors equipment, processes, or schedules, and reports problems to supervisor.
- Follows all SOPs and communicates with proper personnel regarding concerns or issues.
- Assists QA in locating pallets for sampling.
- Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- 2-3 years of previous forklift manufacturing/production experience.
- Must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
- Must be Crown certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Ability to work with a team or individually without issue.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to climb or balance.
- Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
- Works in a manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
- Exposure to a wide range of temperatures, especially in summer and winter months.
- Frequently loud noise levels.
