Warehouse Overhead Crane Operator

About the role
This hourly, non-exempt position is responsible for pulling slab orders accurately and safely using overhead cranes. The role is safety-sensitive and requires adherence to all necessary safety measures.
Responsibilities
- Pull slabs from the warehouse based on provided slab orders
- Move slabs to loading areas using overhead cranes
- Load slabs onto customer vehicles/trucks
- Ensure products are well secured on vehicles and take all necessary safety measures
- Unload slabs from containers using forklifts
- Arrange slabs properly in the slab warehouse using forklifts or cranes
- Maintain the slab warehouse clean and safe for staff and customers
- Perform additional duties as required or requested
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required
- Two or more years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift, overhead crane, and warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to use smartphones/tablets
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical demands
- Regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally
- Frequently walks and stands; occasionally sits
- Must regularly lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision
Pay
This position pays $19.75 to $22.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires typically earn between $49,400 and $65,300 annually, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
Schedule
Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, with 2 Saturdays a month from 07:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
