Warehouse Overhead Crane Operator

About the role
This hourly, non-exempt position is safety-sensitive and involves operating overhead cranes to pull slab orders accurately and safely. The role requires physical effort, including lifting, pulling, and moving materials up to 70 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Pull slabs from the warehouse based on provided slab orders.
- Move slabs to loading areas using overhead cranes.
- Load slabs onto customer vehicles/trucks, ensuring products are well secured and safety measures are followed.
- Unload slabs from containers using forklifts.
- Arrange slabs properly in the slab warehouse using forklifts or cranes.
- Maintain a clean and safe slab warehouse for staff and customers.
- Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Forklift, overhead crane, and warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to use smartphones/tablets.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally.
- Frequently walks and stands; occasionally sits.
- Must regularly lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
Pay
This position pays between $19.75 and $22.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires typically earn between $56,900 and $73,900 annually, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, with 2 Saturdays per month from 07:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
