Warehouse Outbound Manager

About the role

RJW Logistics Group is seeking an experienced Outbound Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of outbound logistics, including scheduling, loading, and maintaining warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong management skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage departmental hours of operation
• Manage outbound loading and ensure all local drivers have their freight loaded
• Process paperwork and distribute to appropriate departments
• Track and maintain warehouse customers' inventory using computer and physical counts
• Work with third-party logistics to meet or exceed customer needs
• Schedule outside carriers to pick up warehouse customers' orders as directed by customers
• Manage warehouse personnel, train employees, and handle employee relations issues
• Ensure adherence to warehouse procedures and retain dock procedures for RJW customers
• Manage warehouse space, ensure cleanliness, and handle billing of warehouse customers
• Provide production/labor planning with supervisors and lead daily status updates
• Perform facility SQF walk-throughs daily and monitor daily productivity levels
• Approve FTE's/temp time and attendance; monitor attendance and overtime
• Maintain positive customer service interactions with internal customers
• Outsource temporary labor as needed
• Attend strategic leadership meetings weekly and monthly KPI tracking
• Quarterly perform performance reviews, set team goals, and forecast projects
• Participate in P&L review

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of Warehouse Management experience
• Ability to report/track trending and historical data
• Strong business writing and case analysis skills
• Advance math and financial skills
• Experience in Inventory Control, Transportation Warehouse
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, Visio, Power Point)
• Experience in warehouse safety and safety training
• College degree preferred or relative experience

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required
• Regularly work in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion
• Frequently required to talk, hear, stand, and walk
• Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others
• Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision
• Must hear speech out of both ears in the normal range of 30dB at 500 to 2000 Hz range
• Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones
• Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances
