Warehouse Order Selector - Freezer

About the role

As a Freezer Selector, you’ll pick, gather, and organize product to prepare orders for delivery to local customers. This role is ideal for upbeat individuals interested in staying active and fit while earning above-average income.

Responsibilities

• Pick various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stack items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensure accuracy of orders while adhering to safety standards
• Operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack, place on pallet, and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure product safety and prevent damages
• Inform Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Perform equipment inspections and complete appropriate forms
• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

Physical demands

• Continually stand, bend, pull, lift, and pivot up to 90% of shift
• Walk between 6-12 miles per day on surfaces including concrete, tile, and carpet
• Frequently lift product weighing between 1-60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Work on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box-cutting tools

Requirements

• One or more years of experience operating material handling equipment
• Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures
• Team-oriented outlook with a passion for helping others
• Desire to work with a team to support causes that positively impact communities
• Ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Schedule

• Full-time, dayshift (7:00 AM start until work is complete)
• 5-day work week, including at least one weekend day

Pay

• Earn $23 per hour during training
• Plus incentive pay after graduating training
