About the Role

Select cases and other containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack or forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner while observing all safety regulations and ensuring quality standards are met. Maintain efficient flow of product through the production process and function as a team member within the department and organization.

Responsibilities

• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines. Report any unsafe conditions or acts immediately.
• Review work schedule, obtain necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.
• Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift and ensure all safety devices are functioning properly.
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Gear.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Operate pallet jack along assigned multi-level racks to locate products according to order sheets.
• Manually place appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required, using single or double pallets as directed.
• Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area; shrink-wrap pallets if required.
• Remove and replace batteries requiring recharging, or attach recharger, and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical and Work Environment Demands

The role primarily operates in a warehouse environment, which may include dry, cooler, or freezer areas. The position requires:

• Physical activities such as lifting, bending, and operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Collaboration with team members to ensure positive results.
