About the role
The Warehouse Operator/Material Handler position is located in Four Oaks, NC and is a 12-month contract on W2 position requiring US Citizenship, GC Holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT.
Responsibilities
- Provide value to customers by accurately receiving, storing, and picking of product to meet safety, security, and productivity standards.
- Accurately process and order pick designated products from warehouse locations, place on pallets, and prepare for shipment.
- Properly load and unload trailers according to company standards.
- Ensure all received product is accurate and conforms to customer standards.
- Account for inventory through movements in the warehouse management system.
- Perform quality checks and resolve any issues through established processes.
- Identify and document pallet ID tags and location codes.
- Accurately pick product and perform bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Participate in physical inventories as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and report any damage or incidents.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 5S principles.
- Report injuries, accidents, and suspicious activities promptly.
- Cross-train in other warehouse positions as directed.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or 1 year experience required.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects.
- Fast-paced distribution environment experience.
- Read and interpret distribution documents.
- Work well with others.
- Minimal supervision ability.
- Metrics-driven environment familiarity.
- Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- General distribution knowledge.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to add, subtract, and multiply.
- Ability to type.
- Ability to operate and/or drive required equipment.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand frequently.
- Manual dexterity.
- Good judgment.
- Ability to speak and hear.
- Ability to participate in daily stretching program.
- Exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment and precarious situations.
