Warehouse Operator III - 1st shift

Responsibilities
- Above all, must work safely at all times.
- Be involved with the safe operation and safety improvement of the plant.
- Understand and follow all personal and equipment safety policies, GMP and Food Safety/HACCP, Sanitation policies.
- Follow all Business Unit and procedures.
- Available/willing to work overtime as needed.
- Physically capable to lift 50 lb flour bags routinely.
- Comprehend and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Process adequate comprehension and mechanical skills to be responsible for:
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for all the equipment related to the MAC production line(s).
- Operating mechanical Loading/Unloading equipment (forklifts, electric walk behind pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks), macro wave operation, bran/germ hand packing and stacking, relief flour blending, relief packing and loading farina.
- May be required to perform required preventative checks and repairs such as greasing, oil level checks, inspections of equipment operation and minor adjustments and repairs such as sewing machine, spouts, conveyors and other equipment.
- Thorough blowing down and cleaning of work areas as assigned.
- Complete Master Sanitation duties, daily checks and other critical duties on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties and fill in for other skilled positions throughout the facility not limited to the Packaging and Warehouse Department as assigned by supervisor.
- Keep accurate records of production, food safety checks, and work activities using both paper documents and computer entry.
- Comply with food safety critical control points for product being produced.
Qualifications
- High school education and/or equivalent work experience.
- Able to read and write legibly.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
- Willing to keep assigned work areas neat and clean.
- Work in an orderly fashion.
- Safety conscious and work in a safe manner.
- Dependable and cooperative at all times.
- Able to get along well with other employees.
Physical requirements and working conditions
- Able to ascend and descend stairs, multiple times per day.
- Climb ladder, step and extension.
- Able to lift to 50 pounds and exert 20 pounds of force.
- Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach at shoulder level and below shoulder level.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a dust mask.
- Able to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).

Shift Differential
The Company provides a shift differential to eligible employees who are assigned to and work shifts outside of standard business hours. Shift differential is paid in addition to the employee's regular base hourly rate and is included in the calculation of the regular rate for overtime purposes.
