Warehouse Operator - 1st Shift

Core Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods from dock and transport to appropriate warehouse location according to part/order number.
- Retrieve goods from warehouse location according to pick sheets/order forms, loading trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform inventory audits and organize warehouse to ensure proper placement of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to meet on-time shipping and order accuracy requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Operate heavy equipment to receive and transport goods (requires certification to drive standard forklift and Combi lift).
- Complete company training and attain certification to operate heavy equipment.
- Individual case picking, physical material handling, including lifting up to 80-100 lbs with assistance.
- Maintain safety while maneuvering throughout the warehouse and loading docks.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass company required training and certification for forklift license.
- 1-2 years' experience as a forklift driver.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
- Lifting up to 80-100 lbs with assistance.
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Work Environment
The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical demands may include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing).
