Job Summary
The Warehouse Operator II is an expanded role at an Area Fulfillment Center (AFC), focusing on the distribution of Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and Materials in a warehouse environment. This role includes additional responsibilities compared to the Warehouse Operator I.
Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions
- Receiving and putting away CPE and Material products into assigned Bin/Row locations from a Primary Distribution Center (PDC) or manufacturer.
- Fulfilling CPE and Material orders to various boundary partners (Field Service Technicians, Installation Contractors, Solution Stores, 3rd Party Stores, etc.), monitoring inventory levels, and restocking as needed.
- Utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications and scanners to perform warehouse functions.
- Processing CPE returns by preparing returns for shipment back to the PDC, including sorting, boxing, labeling, shrink wrapping, and staging on pallets.
- Maintaining Quick Pick locations to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Operating light warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts.
- Operating heavy machinery like forklifts and larger delivery vehicles for pickup, delivery, and loading/unloading of CPE, materials, equipment, and mail.
- Participating in daily cycle counts to audit physical and system accuracy of inventory at a warehouse or assigned to a boundary partner.
- Creating Return Material Authorization (RMA) for equipment needing repair or returning to the AFC.
- Executing quality management procedures and systems.
- Training, coaching, and providing limited direction to other Warehouse Associates or Supply Chain Specialists as needed.
- Performing other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a related field (Supply Chain, Logistics, warehousing) or 5 years equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of basic computing skills (E-mail, Microsoft Office).
- Basic aptitude for basic warehouse inventory management systems (CHAT, Oracle, ICOMS, etc.).
- Ability to learn how to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, stretch wrap machine, etc.).
- Any level degree or certification beyond High School diploma/GED preferred, with up to 1 year of experience in related disciplines.
- Preferred certification in operating warehouse equipment.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry desired.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stands and walks, grasps with hands, reaches at waist.
- Constantly pushes/pulls pallets and carts containing CPE and Materials.
- Constantly lifts 50 - 70 pounds to manage warehouse inventory and transportation of orders.
- Constantly uses warehouse tools and equipment, works outdoors and in extreme weather conditions, with varying wet and dry locations.
- Constantly multi-tasks and prioritizes in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment.
- Requisite ability to drive company vehicles, including a commercial motor vehicle (DOT physical required where applicable by state law).
- Frequently uses computer literacy and learns warehouse management systems, communication products, and associated items.
- Frequently willing to work a flexible schedule when assigned to the On Call rotation.
Compensation
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.00 - $30.00/hour. The hourly base rate may vary based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
