Warehouse Operator I

About the role

Pick orders to satisfy production work orders, sample orders, and intercompany raw material transfers. Receive raw material in a timely fashion to meet customer demand. Ship finished product for distribution.

Responsibilities

• Open cartons with safety knife; grasp and pull parts; knot poly bags; break down corrugate.
• Operate order picking machine at extreme heights; operate wave machine at 10 feet.
• Read orders and fulfill them using RF tracker for transactions while maintaining performance standards based on the Performance Management System (ProTrack).
• Use AS400 system to view inventory.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, and lift for extended periods daily.
• May need to work at an off-site warehouse based on business needs.
• Must be able to work daily overtime (2-3 hours) on a regular basis, up to 6 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Certified on wave and order picker machines.

Pay

Anticipated salary range: $17.25 - $25.00 per hour. The actual salary will vary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
