Warehouse Operator Forklift

About the role

Ryder is hiring Warehouse Forklift Operators in Wilmington, Illinois. The position offers weekly pay starting at $18.50 per hour with potential increases and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, staging products, and loading/unloading trucks
• Handling daily paperwork like picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Punctuality and good attendance record
• Flexible schedule availability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts

Pay

Weekly pay starting at $18.50 per hour with potential increases and a sign-on bonus of $1,000 paid in two installments at 30 and 90 days.
