About the role
This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and put away parts (hazmat and non-hazmat) in correct location using different warehouse management systems
- Pick and process hazmat and non-hazmat orders in the correct priority sequence according to established performances targets
- Packaging hazmat and non-hazmat orders for safe shipment according to shipping instructions and applicable standard specifications (ATA300) and IATA regulations
- Prepare shipping documents for hazmat and non-hazmat shipments
- Cross-train in various workstations around the warehouse, assist in any workstation in a short notice
- Inform supervisor of any process, inventory or system issues immediately
- Adhere to all processes and procedures such as hazardous materials, safety, OSHA, etc.
- Participate in special projects and/or other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Equipped with a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Paired with professional experience ideally as a Warehouse Operator
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience. Aviation industry preferred
- 1 year of experience utilizing SAP or equivalent material/operations management software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products and SAP (or similar product) based inventory management software
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and ability to work safely
Qualifications
- Carrying: Able to carry between 50-75 pounds by yourself and up to 125 pounds two person carry
- Hearing: Able to hear to participate in phone and in-person conversations also able to hear sirens, alarms and other emergency signals
- Lifting: Able to lift between 50-75 pounds by yourself and up to 125 pounds two person carry
- Pushing / Pulling: Able to push/pull items over short distances and on occasion
- Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings; drafting computer-based documents, sometimes with limited breaks
- Squatting / Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat and to replace or retrieve items from low storage
- Standing: Able to stand for long periods of time, touring vendor facilities, traveling and similar activities

Schedule
Shifts are available between 1st shift (5:30 to 14:30), 2nd shift (13:30-22:00), and 3rd shift (21:30–0600).
