About the role
Piramal Pharma Solutions is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), offering end-to-end development and manufacturing solutions across the drug life cycle. We serve clients through a globally integrated network of facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia, providing services including Drug Discovery Solutions, Process & Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical Trial Supplies, Commercial supply of APIs and Finished dosage forms, and specialized services like Highly Potent APIs and Antibody Drug Conjugation.
Responsibilities
- Process receipts according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain data integrity within all shipping and receiving tracking programs.
- Communicate issues observed with incoming shipments and collaborate with SCM team members to identify mitigation strategies.
- Deliver items to other functional areas in a timely manner.
- Strict adherence to Inventory Control processes and Good Documentation Practices.
- Process material requests and maintain strict inventory control through accurate and timely SAP transaction completion.
- Allocate and dispense materials upon request according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support manufacturing, packaging, and laboratory operations by transporting items to and from staging locations.
- Schedule and coordinate domestic and international transactions with freight carriers and forwarders.
- Plan and optimize efficient movement of goods in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain certifications in DOT-Hazardous Materials in Transportation, ICAO, and IATA/Dangerous Good Certification.
- Collate, prepare, distribute, and process bills of lading and shipping documents.
- Handle periodic high-pressure and tight deadlines, adjusting work schedule according to shipping needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and OSHA standards.
- Manage and stock central storage locations.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management and logistics software systems.
- Proficiency in operating powered industrial vehicles.
- Must maintain a valid, state-issued driver’s license.
Job Conditions
- Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must use hands to handle, feel, reach, type, or operate objects or controls.
- Ability to operate a powered industrial lift truck.
- Primarily operates in a high-demand, temperature-controlled warehouse setting.
- Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coats, gloves, specialized clothing (laboratory uniform), and appropriate shoes may be required.
