Warehouse Operator

About the role

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for assisting in material flows that support manufacturing and distribution at the company site. This role will assist in maintaining inventory control and safe systems of work while driving continuous improvement to achieve operational targets and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ship, receive, unload, and handle materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain inventory control and records; verify purchase orders, quantity, and quality.
• Work with Edwards Inventory: stock shelves, rotate inventory, maintain shelf-life adherence, deliver and retrieve materials/supplies to and from work or storage areas.
• Complete applicable SAP transactions; maintain inventory accuracy and controls.
• Support key KPI reporting for the logistics group by managing materials holds and movement transactions in SAP.
• Ensure replacement orders and first-time request orders are raised as required; communicate supply issues as they arise.
• Support availability modeling and sizing tools used by forecast and Central Logistics teams to monitor and maximize service spares health.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and all safety rules; operate powered pallet jacks and potentially forklifts.
• Maintain accuracy of exchange pump pool, finished goods, and spare parts inventory and associated stock records.

Requirements

• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Operations environment, preferably with strong working knowledge of inventory management systems and Supply Chain management.
• Knowledge of MRP transaction and planning systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Access).
• Preferred: previous forklift and pallet jack experience.

Pay

Salary Range: $20.94 - $26.17 per hour. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
