About the role
Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.
- Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
- Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods, accurately sort, label, package, and store inventory.
- Pick, pack, and ship products while meeting customer and operational requirements.
- Perform quality checks to identify damage, discrepancies, or non-conforming materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality, and material flow.
- Support inventory accuracy and warehouse operations through the use of warehouse systems and equipment.
- Participate in rotating on-call shifts as required.
Requirements
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Ability to receive, store, pick, pack, and ship products accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform quality inspections and identify discrepancies.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support business needs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory processes, and material handling equipment is an asset.
- Willingness to participate in rotating on-call coverage.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
Pay
Salary range: $41,600 – $62,400.
