Warehouse Operator - 3rd shift

About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Warehouse Operator at its Troy, OH location. The primary responsibilities include receiving and transporting raw materials, parts, and equipment; storing and maintaining parts in the stockroom; assembling, packaging, and transporting/packing parts and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive job assignment and any special instructions from supervisor.
• Read necessary documents to verify receipts, stockroom materials, or shipment items.
• Prepare necessary documents in support of these duties, including but not limited to material verification slips, receivers, ID slips, inventory slips.
• Unload or load vehicles, transport materials within shipping, receiving, or receiving inspection as required.
• Receive, store, and retrieve materials from work area and transport as necessary to Shipping, Assembly, Receiving Inspection, Warehouse, Assembly or cell/department and maintain correct inventory records.
• Initiate orders for packaging supplies when required.
• Set up SPL packaging jobs.
• Plan and/or order packaging supplies when required.
• Deliver materials to/or from mailroom to/or from Shipping and Receiving.
• Perform duties and operate equipment necessary to prepare items for shipment including but not limited to making boxes or crates, packaging, counting, weighing, labeling, painting or marking items, and appropriate paperwork to complete transaction.
• Maintain work areas and machines in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
• Attend training classes, departmental meetings and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Retrive items from tool crib and complete forms/transactions as required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year CNC machining experience or minimum of 2 years warehouse manufacturing experience.
• Experience working with technical documents (including any of the following: routings, blueprints, Engineering process specifications, written work instructions.)
