Energize your Career at SECO Energy! General Purpose of Job: This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing warehouse items; conducts regularly scheduled cycle counts. Gathers materials for jobs, loads, and unloads trucks, sorts materials and maintains inventory documentation. Using material handling equipment ensures that materials are moved and stored in proper locations; maintains cleanliness, safety and order of the warehouse facility and outside storage areas.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, issue, receive, stock, and retire material for line crews and contractors based on material lists or staking sheets.
- Prepare appropriate documentation and enter data into the inventory control system on a daily basis.
- Carry out periodic cycle counts, ensuring the accuracy of materials counted and processing final counts in a timely manner.
- Evaluate items for salvage, return, or retirement, and restock materials as needed.
- Load and unload freight and trucks using material handling equipment such as forklifts, hand-trucks, or pallet jacks as required.
- Handle material returns, warranty claims, and shipping issues; prepare packages for shipping as directed.
- Assist in training entry-level helpers and line personnel in identifying materials and following stock procedures.
- Ensure the warehouse and all outside storage areas are consistently maintained in a clean and organized manner.
Requirements
- Warehouse Operator 1st Class: Education - High School Diploma or GED; Forklift Certification; Experience - Three (3) years progressive warehouse experience in material management and inventory systems.
- Warehouse Operator 2nd Class: Education - High School Diploma or GED; Forklift Certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months; Experience - One (1) year warehouse experience in a warehouse environment receiving, storing and issuing materials; Material management and inventory systems experience is highly desirable; Experience within an electric utility or related industry.
Qualifications
- Living Requirement: To ensure timely response to Call Outs, must live within 40 miles radius from the assigned reporting location.
- Shift Schedules: Normal work week consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, or four (4) consecutive ten (10) hour days, exclusive of mealtimes, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight. Shift schedules may be changed by giving a 36-hour notice of the changed schedule.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $XX-$YY per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The normal work week consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, or four (4) consecutive ten (10) hour days, exclusive of mealtimes, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight. The Cooperative will determine if an eight (8) hour or ten (10) hour schedule will be used and shall establish the normal schedule of starting and quitting time. Shift schedules may be changed by giving a 36-hour notice of the changed schedule.
