Warehouse Operative/Driver Helper

Duties And Responsibilities

• Delivers, receives and transports design furniture, artwork and other merchandise to residential and commercial locations, airports, seaports or rail ports.
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with base supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to a new location.
• Handles and delivers cargo, materials, furniture, or artwork in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Operates equipment on a vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Assists in loading and unloading trucks manually.
• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• All candidates must be enthusiastic and hardworking with a clean-cut, well-groomed appearance.
• 1 year of moving experience.
• Valid and clean driver’s license (preferably).
• Understand how to properly load and unload merchandise from trucks.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organization skills.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Punctual.
• Flexible to work weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb and pull.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor on a regular basis.

Pay

Salary Ranges: $16-$18 entry level, $18-$22 experienced level.
