Warehouse Operative

Job Summary

Aid in the daily operations of our distribution center, focusing on tasks like loading/unloading trucks and customer service.

Essential Job Requirements

• High school diploma
• Commercial driver’s license highly desired
• Routine clerical work including answering phones, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record keeping
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
• Overtime hours may be required

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking constantly throughout the day
• Climbing frequently (on/off forklift)
• Lifting up to 35 pounds occasionally, but frequently lifting and pushing up to 10 pounds
• Handling equipment and having both hands available is occasionally required while having finger/wrist movement frequently
• Stooping, and crouching very seldom throughout the day
• Rarely have to balance, kneel, or reach throughout the day
• Sometimes sit

Preferred Skills

• General computer skills
• Ability to learn how to use software to view and input data for shop order updates
• Previous forklift experience preferred, but forklift certification will be required upon hire
• Must also be willing to operate various pieces of material handling equipment
• Overtime hours and some Saturdays will be required

Job Duties

• Learn and recognize various parts and products
• Loading and unloading materials
• Read and interpret customer orders to determine materials, process, and disposition requirements
• Package and handle UPS orders as required
• Ensure calls are handled efficiently and effectively
• Use of personal protective equipment is required
• Follow safe production policies and practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
