Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
Initiate and conduct office and on the job training sessions utilizing soft skills to work with a diverse workforce and facilitating a comfortable and productive learning environment.
This includes following up with team members to ensure correct processes and policies are being followed, as demonstrated in their training.
Work with the Department Manager/Supervisor to determine a training schedule and conduct weekly assessments to determine if the Team Member or temporary associate has a complete understanding of the training.
Knowledge of WMS applications or ability to learn in order to complete any needed tasks and fulfill alternate roles when not conducting training sessions.
Communicate training progress to Sr. Department Leads and Management and make recommendations on trainees’ ability to absorb the training and ability to identify if a different department would be recommended.
Willingness to participate in continued education on train the trainer classes or workshops, serve on the Safety Committee, and participate in the incident review process to confirm if Team Members were following policies as trained.
Become a mentor to the team by being available to answer the team’s questions and issues that arise that are not covered during basic trainings.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to operate forklift and other powered equipment essential to the position.
Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Need to have strong communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
