About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing, delegating, coordinating, and overseeing workflow related to split case replenishment, put away, and picking replenishment cartons. The role involves building team morale, enhancing strengths, and improving areas of need to support business operations and productivity. The Supervisor will work closely with the 2nd Shift Manager to flex staff as needed and may assist with full case picking, replenishment, or other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operations, including safety and distribution of equipment and supplies.
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees, and evaluate department performance.
  • Schedule daily work to ensure timely picking and inducting to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Ensure stock is put away in sellable condition to meet daily commitments.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels to fulfill upcoming orders.
  • Delegate workloads and maximize staff efficiency to minimize overtime.
  • Monitor, analyze, and maintain departmental reports accurately and timely.
  • Continuously coach staff and keep management informed of progress or issues.
  • Defuse employee issues promptly and uphold company safety standards.
  • Maintain and exceed Material Handler I & II productivity standards.
  • Follow all policies and procedures, and prepare work records in the computer and employee files.
  • Communicate job expectations and daily performance metrics to employees.
  • Train team members and ensure completion of warehouse checklists.
  • Lead by example, operating motorized equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure accuracy in all work performed and maintain good housekeeping in the area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet customer commitments in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience in DC warehousing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Warehouse systems experience preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional employee relationships.
  • Strong skills in building positive employee morale.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • College degree or comparable warehouse experience.

Schedule

Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (approximate).

Pay

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
