About the role

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for our Grand Prairie, TX Presort facility. This role supports clients in earning the best possible discounts on First-Class® and Standard® postage through our presort services. You will be an integral part of operations that drive both your career development and our business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Organize mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and types of mail based on current staffing levels to meet postal deadlines.
  • Oversee production workers on the designated shift, including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and solving problems in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ensure quality functions throughout the production area and adherence to TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports, and applying all USPS postal regulations.
  • Facilitate clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts.
  • Offer suggestions to increase efficiency in equipment use, working conditions, and employee motivation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in presort, mailroom, or associated industries with familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access, along with basic knowledge of MS Word, internet, and email.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or current maximum allowed by your State), and walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation.
  • Willingness to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off, and/or different shifts with limited or no advance notice based on operational needs.

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed), 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 annual salary plus a 6% field bonus.
