About the role
The Warehouse Operations Specialist will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the team through coaching and development.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, and labor utilization.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and transportation regulations.
- Maintain warehouse facilities and equipment while optimizing warehouse layout and storage capacity.
- Establish operational KPIs, monitor results, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare annual logistics budgets and analyze monthly performance against budget.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of warehouse team members.
- Counsel, coach, and support front-line supervisors in employee performance management.
- Provide logistics and distribution analysis to optimize transportation, inventory flow, and customer service.
Requirements
- Must reside within commuting distance of Reno, NV.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Operations, or a related field required.
- 1–5 years of Supply Chain and/or Industrial Engineering experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- 2+ years of operational management experience overseeing receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse operations.
- 1–3 years of logistics/transportation experience in a CPG and mass-market distribution environment.
- Experience supporting omni-channel distribution with emphasis on e-commerce fulfillment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. domestic transportation, including small parcel and omni-channel freight.
- Familiarity with container import processes.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of Kaizen principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally 10–20%.
Qualifications
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 procedures preferred.
