Warehouse Operations Operator / Material Handler

Location: Sparks, MD • 12-month contract • 40 hours/week • Pay range: $16–20/hr

About the Role

Entry-level W2 position with a medical-devices company. US citizens or green-card holders only. Forklift experience is not required.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Use equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods within the plant, office, or warehouse.
• Maintain records as needed.
• Develop and apply basic skills in prescribed tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area or process.
• Complete routine tasks following clearly defined SOPs and quality guidelines.
• Work under general to limited supervision.
• Obtain and/or maintain required licenses, training, or certifications.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Read, write, interpret documents in English, and perform basic math calculations.
• Operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• Use general computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, lift, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, and twist.
• Frequent use of hands for finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, including repetitive motion of wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Lift and/or move over 50 lbs.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration.
• Occasional work in high, precarious places and exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Work environment is hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating); noise level is moderate to loud.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience and/or training.
