Warehouse Operations Manager (Reverse Logistics)
Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a growing national provider of reverse logistics, pallet management, and onsite warehouse operations to hire a Warehouse Operations Manager for an embedded operation within one of the nation's largest retail distribution centers in McDonough, Georgia. This role focuses on leading people, improving processes, building a strong safety culture, and driving operational performance in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
About the role
As the primary onsite leader for a multi-shift reverse logistics operation, you will oversee pallet sorting and repair, inventory flow, labor planning, quality, customer satisfaction, and overall operational performance. You'll lead supervisors, team leads, and hourly associates while partnering closely with customer leadership to ensure exceptional service, continuous improvement, and financial success.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations across multiple shifts in a high-volume warehouse environment, ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee reverse logistics, pallet sorting and repair, inventory flow, labor planning, and overall operational performance
- Develop staffing plans, allocate labor effectively, and optimize workforce utilization to meet operational goals
- Monitor productivity, workflow, and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by streamlining processes, optimizing staffing, improving reporting, and implementing best practices
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and hourly associates while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, employee development, and retention initiatives
- Address employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters in a fair and timely manner while developing future frontline leaders
- Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, OSHA compliance, safe equipment practices, incident investigations, corrective actions, ongoing safety training, and a clean, organized work environment
- Serve as the primary onsite leader and customer contact, building strong relationships while ensuring service expectations are consistently met or exceeded
Requirements
- 5+ years of operations leadership experience
- Proven experience leading teams of 15+ hourly employees; multi-shift leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrated success coaching, developing, and leading high-performing teams
- Strong background in improving operational processes, productivity, and overall performance
- Customer-facing leadership experience with the ability to build strong working relationships and deliver exceptional service preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices, with a commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume industrial or warehouse environment
Benefits
- Annual salary of $85,000-$105,000, with compensation based on experience, leadership background, and overall qualifications
