MFA Oil Company, formed in 1929, is a farmer-owned cooperative and a leading propane retailer in the United States. The company supplies fuels, lubricants, and propane to customers in Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Through a subsidiary, MFA Oil operates Break Time convenience stores in Missouri; a Big O Tires franchise in Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas; a solar panel installation company, BluSphere Energy; and APM, a wholesale fuel distributor.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain knowledge of all parts, products, and services offered by MFA Oil.
- Monitor and document inventory levels and promptly report updates directly to the supervisor.
- Answer customer questions regarding inventory, shipments, and processes.
- Understand technical documents as related to warehouse and products.
- Receive part orders, gather items, and complete transfers for Truck Service, Maintenance, and Field Operations in a timely manner.
- Deliver orders to Truck Service.
- Palletize orders for Maintenance pick up.
- Deliver bulk DEF and packaged inventory items to BP and customer locations in the MBSC coverage area.
- Transfer products from Bulk to totes and from drums to pails.
- Pack orders for shipments to Field Operations.
- Pick orders for promotional items and manage inventory items.
- Restock small parts inventory.
- Make and receive purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items.
- Make transfer orders for product transfers within the company.
- Perform cycle counts as needed.
- Arrange shipments with UPS/FedEx.
- Assist with daily tasks in various roles within distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
- Adhere to company and position-specific policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards’s programs and Energy Force / Energy Service preferred.
- Ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker, HAZMAT, and air brake endorsements within the first 120 days of employment, and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements per the vehicle requirements.
- Ability to pass in-person training and MFA Oil Company’s Record of Road test requiring operation of both manual and automatic transmission vehicles within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to lift, reach, stoop, and/or bend to retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to reach, bend, scrub, etc., when performing duties.
- Ability to climb a step ladder for cleaning purposes and for retrieving items.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background and MVR check and drug test.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
