Warehouse Material Sampler 1st Shift - Clark, NJ

About the role

Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique in the sense they have two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell to it, the teams in that building are producing natural flavorings and essential oils. The South building is the complete opposite, it will have savory and garlic smells because the team is producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy.

Key Responsibility

• Obtain material samples required by R&D teams and Quality department alongside pre-manufacturing and co-manufacturing sample processes.
• Ensure proper sampling techniques, documentation, and chain of custody procedures are followed.
• Support internal warehouse activities including small parcel shipments and general material handling operations.

Qualifications and skills

• High school or equivalent education.
• Knowledge and experience to operate a forklift.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to see to read labels and identify materials for sampling.
• Basic computer skills including shipping systems and sample tracking software.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal to coordinate with R&D and Quality teams.
• Attention to detail for accurate sample collection and documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Must be able to walk throughout the warehouse / plant and sit to operate a forklift.

Compensation

• The pay range for this position is $22.07 - $29.00 per hour.
• Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role.
• Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
