About the role
Standard Printing Company is seeking detail-oriented and highly organized team members for three production support roles: Press Expediter, Bander, and Receiving/Warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Transport work-in-process materials throughout the facility using Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and other material handling equipment.
- Move finished materials from presses to the next stage of operation (bindery, finishing, shipping, etc.) to maintain continuous workflow.
- Band and stretch wrap finished material on skids for storage and shipment.
- Operate scrap material baler to process and compact waste materials.
- Absorb and return unused materials to inventory and restock press-side supplies as needed.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe material storage and production areas.
- Assist with inventory control and material tracking to ensure accurate material flow.
- Cook with press operators and production supervisors to support production efficiency.
- Confirm materials match job specifications (stock type, quantity, ink, coatings, etc.) prior to movement or restocking.
- Review job tickets for accuracy and completeness prior to production runs.
- Complete and manage required production paperwork and documentation.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience is required.
- Prior experience in printing, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with press operators and supervisors.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, or move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other PIT equipment safely.
Work Environment
Manufacturing/production floor environment. Temperature and humidity controlled building. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and material handling equipment. PPE required as designated by safety guidelines.
