Responsibilities
- Leads and controls activities of company warehouse.
- Ensures shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution are performed in an efficient manner.
- Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss.
- Retains and reviews warehouse documents and reports.
- Ensures warehouse and shipping/receiving activities comply with SWC policies.
- Captures and coordinates returned and repaired equipment requirements.
- Captures and coordinates receiving, purchasing entries into the accounting system.
- Affords assistance to office personnel and other administrative functions as directed.
- Ensures the quantity and quality of incoming equipment.
- Ensures incoming equipment is properly received, unpacked, and stored.
- Maintains efficient inventory tracking system.
- Maintains minimum stock orders.
- Completes and submits warehouse documents and reports.
- Provides monthly inventory reports to management.
- Maintains accurate list of all tools and equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
- Notifies Project Manager when order is completely received in warehouse.
- Stages and documents equipment to allow efficient loading by field staff.
- Performs quarterly, year-end inventory counts and variance discrepancies.
- Tracks and maintains returns and repairs.
- Affords assistance in administrative tasks as required by Regional Manager.
- Affords assistance to office staff as needed.
- Ensures safety procedures are followed in the warehouse.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned by company management.
- Material purchasing for projects within northern region.
- Maintenance of scanning and filing on shared drive.
- Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail/packages.
- Coordinates building maintenance.
- Orders office and kitchen supplies.
- Receives, scans, and documents barcoded materials returned from project sites.
- Serves as Safety Coordinator, promoting and maintaining workplace safety compliance.
- Manages and maintains inventory records within Smartsheet.
- Prepares and submits monthly UIM reports.
- Oversees daily operations and inventory management for the Columbia warehouse.
- Maintains Columbia Warehouse Operations if Warehouse person is out.
- Collaborates with service technicians to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Conducts vehicle inspections, including inventory verification and safety checks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two to three years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Above average computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- This person must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people.
- Minimal travel, some off-site training to be performed.
- Additional skills and abilities include excellent written and verbal communication skills, responsibility, self-motivation, self-starter, personability, and organization.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
- Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations.
- Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
- Valid and current driver’s license.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical, Mental And Environmental Requirements
- Team Member is required to intermittently (25%-50%) remain stationary, move about inside or outside the office or warehouse, operate transport vehicles, ascend/descend, stoop, kneel, lift, grasp, carry, communicate, detect, convey, perceive, judge and be exposed to the environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
