Warehouse (Material) Handler - 1st Shift (Experience Required)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure coworkers do also.
• Specific Job Functions:
• Ensure fork truck inspections are timely.
• Pick and deliver internal and external orders.
• Warehouse organization.
• Inventory movement and tracking.
• Operation of lift truck.
• Operate software.
• Allocation of product.
• Packaging product.
• Scheduling freight pickups and deliveries.
• Load and unload trucks.

Qualifications

• Ability to use company software and programs, ERP and WMS.
• Inventory tracking.
• General quality systems.
• Lift truck operation.
• Visual inspection.

Education and Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for freight scheduling of product.
• Or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.

Reasoning Abilities

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and/or telephone keypad;
• Reach with hands and arms;
• Stand, walk;
• Sit;
• Stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
