Warehouse Material Hander - No Weekends!

About the role

Viking Electric is a leading electrical distributor in the Midwest, part of the Sonepar group, which operates globally. This role is located in Eau Claire, WI.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using various devices (training provided)
• Count, check, and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels for inventory tracking
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize, and route materials for safe delivery or storage
• Help maintain product integrity and organization within the warehouse
• Follow and promote safety and security protocols

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with assistance
• Able to stand and walk for much of the shift
• Basic math skills
• Willingness to learn how to operate forklifts and handheld scanning devices (training provided)
• Able to work in various warehouse temperatures
• Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills. Training will be provided for all necessary equipment operation.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $19 to $24 per hour, with potential for increase based on experience. The exact amount may vary based on experience and skills.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule of 11am to 7pm, Monday through Friday (first shift).
