The Warehouse & Logistics Operations team at the Swiftwater site plays a key role in this mission. As part of the site Supply Chain function within the Vaccines US Manufacturing & Supply organization, it ensures our internal and external customers receive the required materials and products, on-time and in-full, to support 24x7 site operations. We are hyper-focused on team and site Safety, while also vigilant regarding the Quality nature of our materials, products, facilities, and processes. We deliver 4.3 billion healthcare solutions to people every year, thanks to the flawless planning and meticulous eye for detail of our Manufacturing & Supply teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of daily end-to-end warehouse operations and material movement, in compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
  • Direct supervision of internal team members (~8 people), including training and development, performance management, recognition, and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Promote, demonstrate, and support a heightened Safety Culture within the team and the facility, ensuring all team members have the proper training, equipment, mindset, and resources to sustain safety performance.
  • Verification of inbound shipments against freight and packing documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies (OS&D), and processing all receipts and transactions in SAP S4 HANNA (batch, non-batch, quality-managed, and imported materials) in a timely manner.
  • Management of accurate inventory control from end to end, including order fulfillments, goods issues, bin-to-bin transfers, and cycle count activities, while maintaining corporate and site inventory standards.
  • Coordination of site order fulfillment, maintaining high-level communication with site customers, Material Planning, and vendors when required.
  • Supervision of material disposal activities (Material Disposal Orders – MDOs) and hazardous waste documentation, ensuring safe handling and storage of regulated materials.
  • Close collaboration with offsite 3PL storage service providers for material transfers to/from external storage facilities.
  • Support internal and external inspections of facilities and processes, including remediation activities for observations or findings.
  • Evaluate existing processes and ways of working to identify process efficiencies and cost-savings initiatives.
  • Oversight of department reporting and analytics as required.
  • Obtain and maintain required medical screening, training, and certification for department/role-specific curriculum, including the operation of material handling equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field with 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, supply chain, or manufacturing operations environment with supervisory, senior operator, or management experience.
  • OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a warehouse, supply chain, or manufacturing operations environment and 2+ years of supervisory, senior operator, or management experience.
  • APICS certification is an asset.
  • Experience in a regulated industry is required (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, food & beverage, or comparable regulated environment).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or holiday on-call oversight.
  • Must be able to work 100% on-site at the Swiftwater, PA facility.

Skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong background in Warehouse & Logistics Operations, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of managing daily shop-floor operations.
  • Proficient in Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) – i.e., SAP.
  • High analytical capabilities and creativity to analyze data, collect insights, and build mitigations.
  • Synthetic mind to build recommendations and drive decision-making.
