About the role
The Warehouse Manager is a key leadership role within our Columbus, GA facility, responsible for managing inventory and production planning, leading continuous improvement for materials management and inventory control, and establishing yearly departmental goals and objectives. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations and oversees the largest facility within our medical kitting division.
Responsibilities
- Leverage tools to drive operational improvements and ensure engagement of the supply chain team through clear communication and leadership
- Foster and lead the continuous improvement roadmap for the supply chain team
- Accountable for all planning and inventory activities, metrics, and on-time delivery to Path-Tec customers
- Own inventory processes, including cycling out slow-moving product, ensuring cycle counting accuracy, and increasing inventory velocity
- Collaborate with the Procurement department to develop, manage, and maintain a supply base that delivers on time with favorable quality and costs
- Identify barriers, establish priorities, evaluate practices, and develop plans for successful production control operations
- Propose cost-reduction strategies and improve supply chain logistics procedures
- Monitor demand, analyze data, and anticipate future supply and logistical needs
- Support finance and corporate gross margin goals through active participation in financial review meetings and cost-reduction expertise
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production/Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of combined experience in production planning, procurement, and material management
- May consider candidates with 8 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- APICS certification (preferred, but not required)
- Experience working with electronic inventory systems
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and solutions
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs at a time
