Warehouse Manager

About the role
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing specific departments within the building. This could include inventory, waste management, receiving, warehouse, fulfillment, or multiple operational (non-production) areas.
Responsibilities
- Coach, manage, and develop a team of between 20-50 associates
- Communicate policies to your team and act as the primary information source—maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
- Create, manage, and support recognition programs
- Maintain all standard work is both updated, designed, and implemented
- Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
- Maintain all timecards for all associates
- Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
- Partner with senior management team to establish and maintain quality control standards as well as KPIs for departments
- Develop performance goals and targets to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality
- Own all inventory controls and materials movement processes for the warehouse; design, improve, enforce, train, audit, troubleshoot, and report on both
- Responsible for the successful completion of regular full inventory counts, leading the preparation and execution of each count
- Work with the Manufacturing Controller and the accounting group to meet all auditor expectations regarding inventory and inventory controls within the warehouse
- Work directly with warehouse supervisors, leads, and staff to execute daily team responsibilities including shipping, receiving, materials movements, cycle counting, and other warehouse duties as assigned
- Work with production management to set Kanban levels for raw materials and component goods and ensure Kanban levels are maintained at established levels
- Work with representatives from all other departments to discover needs that can be met by the warehouse team
Requirements
- BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5–7 years warehouse and/or operations experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite knowledge a plus)
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test
- Comfortable with ERP systems and the role of inventory management and warehousing activities within an ERP environment
- Knowledge and experience with WMS systems integrated to ERP systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with shipping companies
- Familiar with lean design and concepts
- Comfortable operating and managing in a dynamic environment

- Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions
- Physical activities may constantly include:
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned
- Environmental conditions may occasionally include a noisy open office environment
Pay
The compensation target for this role is $85,000–$100,000.
