Warehouse Manager
Composition Brands, renowned leaders in premium refrigeration products including Marvel, U-Line, and Viking Refrigeration, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations in Greenville, Michigan. This critical leadership role oversees all shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and material handling activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials that support manufacturing operations and customer commitments.
About the role
The Warehouse Manager will play a vital role in maintaining the company’s reputation for quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. You will lead the warehouse team while collaborating closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Logistics to ensure accurate inventory, timely shipments, and efficient material movement throughout the facility. This position focuses on inventory accuracy and material management in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes to ensure inventory accuracy at the warehouse location level.
- Review inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, reduce excess inventory, and minimize obsolescence.
- Lead the cycle count process and cycle counters to ensure compliance and improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and clearly labeled for accuracy.
- Lead the material handling team to ensure timely delivery of materials needed in production, proper line stocking, and return of excess inventory.
- Actively manage materials during product line transitions to minimize disruption to inventory and production schedules.
- Generate and analyze reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and obsolescence, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with production, sales, and logistics to align material management with overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and deploy countermeasures.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and document inventory control deficiencies.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and working knowledge of MRP systems and lean manufacturing principles.
- Capable of using software to derive reports, graphs, and analysis in appropriate formats.
- Ability to work shifts and hours mandated by management and pass a drug screen.
Working Conditions
- Factory/Warehouse environment.
- Minimal to no travel required.
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
