Warehouse Manager

About the role

The Warehouse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume, order fulfillment, multi-shift distribution center. This role administers all functions to ensure timely and accurate product receipt, order fulfillment, and resource optimization while operating within budget. The position develops and implements processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, continual process improvement, and employee initiatives that foster commitment to company success.

Responsibilities

• Administer all functions to ensure timely and accurate product receipt, order fulfillment, and resource optimization within budget.
• Develop and implement processes for compliance with company policies/procedures and continual process improvement.
• Drive employee initiatives to create a committed and involved workforce.
• Lead the organization’s Performance Improvement and Operational Efficiency initiatives with a data-driven, results-oriented approach.
• Educate department supervisors and team members in identifying key performance improvement indicators, targeting opportunities, adopting best practices, and executing improvement initiatives.
• Participate in recruitment and hiring to maintain staffing levels with quality talent.
• Provide leadership for large employee populations in non-exempt and exempt positions, maximizing and optimizing resources to support company goals and customer service.
• Design and implement staffing strategies to ensure workforce flexibility and responsiveness to workflow variations.
• Lead and develop Process Managers and employees using performance management tools to enhance performance and achieve individual and company goals.
• Set and achieve performance goals related to productivity, safety, quality, and customer service through proper execution of performance metrics.
• Ensure productivity, safety, and quality goals are achieved via continuous process improvement.
• Communicate and educate employees on work instructions, policies, procedures, and process improvement initiatives.
• Standardize and share best-demonstrated practices with Operations, Distribution Center, and other Distribution Centers as appropriate.
• Ensure proper control, maintenance, protection, and utilization of company physical assets (building, equipment, inventory, etc.).
• Utilize process improvements to continually enhance operational efficiencies.
• Develop LEAN training classes and implement policies and procedures to improve distribution center operations.
• Ensure superior customer service by delivering on shipping commitments and driving the highest level of customer quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on LEAN expertise at the management level.
• 5+ years of previous management experience in a high-volume distribution center operation.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive employee, customer, and cross-functional team relations.
• Ability to effectively promote and lead change.
• Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills.
• Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations, and power industrial equipment requirements.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results.
• Occasional travel to other DCs, corporate offices, and field locations.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High School Diploma or GED in a relevant field or equivalent.

Compensation

Compensation: $70,000.00 – $93,450.00

Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt team members.
