About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a high‑volume, multi‑shift distribution environment. In this role, you will oversee end‑to‑end warehouse operations—including receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, outbound logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving efficiency, optimizing warehouse layout and material flow, and creating a strong culture of safety and performance across three shifts.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day warehouse and yard operations, including receiving, storage, transfers, inventory control, picking, staging, and outbound shipment activity.
- Responsible for performance across financial, operational, and customer service KPIs; develop reporting and communicate results to leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, reduce inefficiencies, and support business growth.
- Ensure proper staffing through recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of warehouse associates and supervisors—including management of temp‑to‑hire strategies and staffing agency relationships.
- Create, optimize, and enforce warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Validate and maintain accuracy of ERP and WMS processes, ensuring data integrity across all warehouse functions.
- Oversee warehouse equipment fleet—including evaluation, optimization, and vendor relationships.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with third‑party vendors and service providers.
- Champion a strong safety culture through training, compliance, and proactive safety programs.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage methodology, product flow, and material handling systems to maximize efficiency.
- Stay current on industry best practices through ongoing learning, professional networks, and publications.
- Model company values and reinforce a positive, engaged workplace culture.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience managing a high‑SKU, fast‑paced, multi‑shift warehouse or distribution operation.
- Deep knowledge of warehouse operations, supply chain fundamentals, and industry best practices.
- Proven success improving processes, driving change, and achieving results against KPI targets.
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort making data‑driven decisions.
- Hands‑on experience with WMS and ERP systems (D365 F&O).
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
