Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and customer pickup activities.
• Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse associates and delivery personnel.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through receiving controls, cycle counts, stock organization, and inventory management best practices.
• Cookordinate inbound and outbound freight to support customer service and branch operations.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety standards, and DOT regulations where applicable.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and operational challenges.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Partner with branch leadership and sales teams to support customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Aid in staffing, scheduling, and performance management activities.
• Support warehouse and delivery operations during peak business periods as needed.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

• Certifications: Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain) OSHA, warehouse safety, or logistics certifications preferred
• CDL and/or F endorsement a plus but not required
• Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred
• Years of Experience: 3–5 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or related experience required 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Experience: HVAC, plumbing, construction supply, or wholesale distribution experience preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution processes
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on leadership mentality with willingness to support warehouse operations as needed
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 70 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
