Warehouse Manager

About the Role

Under the leadership of the Senior Manager of Production Control and Logistics, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of the warehouse or distribution center, including Accessory Inventory processes. This role supports accessory launches, changeovers, and kills; maintains optimal inventory levels at PDC and VPC; oversees shipping and receiving activities; and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Manager must have strong analytical, organizational, communication, and people-management skills, along with technical experience in data analytics and warehouse management. This role is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards that improve warehouse efficiency and effectiveness while fostering collaboration across departments and stakeholders. The Warehouse Manager may also support other supply chain operations and business activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of goods while maintaining safety, quality, and accuracy
• Participate in development and execution of the company's inventory management strategy with the aim of increasing product sales velocity, improving revenue, controlling costs, generating savings, optimizing inventory, reducing obsolescence, and maximizing working capital
• Lead and coordinate continuous improvement opportunities associated with aligning supply with customer/operational demand signals
• Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders of Vehicle Processing Center, Parts Distribution Center, GST Distribution & Supply, GST Product Development, Toyota Motor North America, and GST Accessory Suppliers
• Oversee analysts to develop, analyze, and align planning with production and demand forecasts based on suppliers, product manufacturing, logistics, and total internal and external lead time
• Create and maintain KPIs to analyze and evaluate forecast results and warehouse inventory levels, to ensure optimal working inventory and minimize excess or aging inventory
• Proactively collaborate, communicate, and partner with internal/external stakeholders to successfully coordinate and improve product launch, end of life, and transitions while effectively balancing sales and obsolescence
• Serve as subject matter expert for warehouse management systems, managing system use, training, and maintenance to ensure consistency and reliability
• Implement data driven metrics, standard work practices, operational procedures, and performance metrics that drive productivity and continuous improvement and guide operational decisions
• Maintain equipment and facility standards, ensuring all assets are serviced, repaired, and operating safely
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, regulations, and company procedures while fostering a culture of accountability and engagement
• Implement and sustain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet company and customer expectations
• Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse employees including supervisors and laborers through coaching, training, and performance management
• Plan, organize, and allocate resources to meet staffing, equipment, and operational goals for both short and long term needs
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and implement corrective actions
• Manage budgets and expenses to ensure cost control, financial accountability, and effective operations
• Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard operations
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 8+ years of leadership experience in warehouse or operations management
• Proficient in SAP or other warehouse management systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel)
• Experienced in statistical analysis and data interpretation
• Valid and in-state Driver License required

Physical and Environmental Requirements

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

Travel

Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis).
