About the role

The Warehouse Manager position at Franklin Electric is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory control, and asset utilization. The role involves ensuring accuracy in inventory, managing processes, and assisting with continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure orders are received and shipped correctly, on time, and utilizing the most cost-effective methods.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility and activities, including shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory control, asset utilization, and maintenance.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy through full material flow, from receipt of raw materials to shipping of finished goods. Utilizes the digital inventory control system to maintain accurate counts.
  • Organizes the warehouse in an efficient manner.
  • Determines the proper material handling and shipping methods that balance the needs of production, customer, and corporate goals.
  • Learns, develops, and drives innovative warehouse management approaches that continuously improve and support business goals.
  • Reviews and approves invoices and billing.
  • Provides product application sizing when necessary for assigned products.
  • Completes quotes for the sale of finished goods through the customer service database.
  • Processes paperwork for returned materials and warranty refunds.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy through routine audit/cycle count program.
  • Plans and assists with shipping and receiving and warehouse maintenance as needed.
  • Supervises supervisory and/or non-supervisory employee(s).
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance, rewards, and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Works with Human Resources on employee issues.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field preferred.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience (required).
  • Intermediate skills in alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet, and basic word processing/typing.
